The LA Jazz Society ‘Celebrates the World of Quincy Jones’ – and presents him with the Lifetime Achievement Award on November 19th beginning at 7:30pm. Recognizing his many years of mentorship and support of young musicians, along with his multitude of musical achievements, a number of his friends and artists will perform during the 2-hour tribute. Already confirmed are Patti Austin, Siedah Garrett, Emily Bear, Alfredo Rodriguez, Justin Kauflin and the Clayton Brothers, with Rickey Minor, Hubert Laws, Darynn Dean, Greg Phillinganes, and more. David L. Abell ‘Angel’ Award to Jackie & Howard Banchik, recognizing their longtime support of young musician, jazz programs and the LA Jazz Society.
