Composer, arranger, and pianist Lalo Schifrin’s historic career has taken him from Buenos Aires to Paris to Hollywood, working with such legendary artists as Astor Piazzola, Dizzy Gillespie, and Xavier Cougat. Schifrin’s film and television credits include such classics as Mission Impossible, Mannix, Cool Hand Luke, and Dirty Harry. Schifrin has won four Grammy Awards (with 21 nominations) and received six Academy Award nominations. Last November he was awarded a medal from the French Minister of Culture in Paris.
The LA Jazz Treasure Award Tribute will feature an all-star trio, consisting of Eric Reed, John Clayton, and Kevin Kanner.
