Founded in 1983, the Los Angeles Jazz Society is dedicated to preserving the legacy of jazz and inspiring the next generation of young musicians. Through multicultural, interactive programs in schools and communities across Los Angeles, we bring world-class jazz education directly to students—many experiencing live jazz for the very first time.

Each year, thousands of students participate in LAJS programs that combine live performance, hands-on learning, and mentorship from professional jazz artists. Our mission is simple: excite, educate, and engage young people with the uniquely American art form of jazz while supporting the artists who shape its future.
